1781 – English astronomer William Herschel
observed what he initially thought was a comer but turned out to be the planet
Uranus. It was the first planet to be discovered using a telescope.
1882 – At the Royal Institution, Eadweard J.
Muybridge demonstrated his zoopraxiscope, an optical apparatus that exhibited
photograph of moving animals. It is sometimes considered the first movie
projector.
1969 – Apollo 9 returned safely to Earth
after orbital testing of the first crewed Lunar Module.
1986 – Microsoft Goes Public

eleven years after its founding, Microsoft began trading stock on the NASDAQ
stock exchange. The initial share price was set at $28 dollars a share, raising
almost 61 million dollar in a single day. If you had purchased a share on March

$4,000 as of 2012.
2014 – Zuckerberg Calls
President Obama
Mark Zuckerberg
told the press he called President Barak Obama to bring his concerns to the
table. The Facebook post talked about trust on the Internet, keeping it a
shared space and how we should work together to create a secure environment.
